About Ta’ Klariċċ Restaurant in Malta

Ta’Klariċċ the name of our restaurant originated from our nana’s uncle Tommaso Micallef aka Klariċċ who was one of the most inspiring people in our lives. Klariċċ was a tall very handsome man born in January 1906 in Rabat Malta. Living life in the hardest of conditions through two world wars, fighting for his life. He got married in the 1930’s to Pawla, they had no children.

Klariċċ was a hard worker, working the fields during the day and cutting rock underground during the night, for a few pence a day. Klariċċ also went out to hunt for that special dinner once in a blue moon. Always up early for work and left home before sunrise because he always thought that if someone would see him going to work after sunrise they would think that he was a lazy man. Later on in his long life he rested pleasantly till he joined the Lord in 2002 at the age of 96. God rest his soul. Amen.
